Thoughts on Stalker (1979)

doubt is the enemy of faith

doubt is born of harshness, born of the weariness that comes with the unending dredge of mortal coil

rot and decay takes over industry, sepia washes over everything, disintegration, damp creaking floorboards, dystopia; this is normality

haven is in full colour, still in it's setting, large, expansive, beautiful yet incomprehensible. it is rich in its own beauty but inconceivable for the mind, nothing man does can be in control of it, it surpasses his own dominion.

is the horror of the zone man-made? are its qualities myth or reality? spirituality and strength of faith is a dying perspective when it comes to man's indulgences and rationality, all romantic idealism and ponderings die in the face of skepticism.

stalker is a reminder and a question; how much do you know of your true self?
