Thoughts on Burning (2018)

Watching the World Burn | Burning (2018) - Bright Wall/Dark Room

To me...
The world is an enigma.

haunting uncertainty pervades every action
an intense yearning to fill a great void, trivialized
a jealousy borne of existential circumstances
an anger slowly growing
a lackadaisical indulgence motivated by mere petty appetites;
he who has had everything
cannot know how it feels to have nothing, until
he becomes nothing
remnants of ash in the great razing fires of life

this film lingers and looms, and the questions it creates echo indefinitely
the uneasiness and tension of the implied sinister intention
grow and bubble into anxious hysteria
cultural perceptions inform judgement
the elusive truth chased by an absent observer
is it real or not?
