Thoughts on Je Tu Il Elle (1974)

I, You, He, She (1974) - IMDb

you are drained husk

you strip away everything til you're left laying bare, maybe once you have completely emptied yourself you will be able to feel something again
time passes but you are in stasis, days bleed into one another, you idly narrate things within your head before and after their occurence
your emptiness grows to fill the confines of your four walls, there is nothing for you here, so you leave

you search for love's placeholder in the comfort of a stranger, nothing is known, nothing is said
you are content in existing without exposition, you are detached drifter, led around by wind like a kite, but at least you are something

the purity of this nomadic unknowing is broken with every word he says. he reveals the sickness within him with quiet ease, and all you can do is smile and stare. it is strange to be nothing but worse to be barely anything at all

you leave this emptiness and look for wholeness
you are terrified but her door is left ajar
frantic and feverish melding of flesh, the madness of yearning and the comfort of familiar embrace
and then silence once more
