Thoughts on Synecdoche, New York (2008)
time rushes past you, you are static and self-pitying
it eats at you but you have made a nest within the stasis
you cry and cry but you have found comfort in the wetness of your eyes and revel in your unravellings
minutes blend into days then into years
your form atrophies, you are decaying but noone else can see it
you seek a truthfulness that is unattainable in your reality
so you fabricate it as truthfully as you can, futilely trying to recontextualise it to fit into a more noble framing; you try to create difference but it runs parallel and the same
existence is a slow destruction, you relinquish autonomy because it is too much to bear anymore
maybe if you escape to another person's shoes it'll be better
i just want to exist without the pain of decision
Die.
